MEMBERSHIP
Aloha Golf Tour Membership:
To become a member of the Aloha Golf Tour, a player must submit an
application and pay all required fees by dates set by the Aloha Golf
Tour. 2008 Aloha Golf Tour professional membership fee is
$1875.00 per golfer which includes entry into all 5 (five) 2008
tournaments and chance to earn % of total purse based on tournament
performance. 2008 Aloha Golf Tour amateur membership fee is
$750.00 per golfer which includes entry into all 5 (five) 2008
tournaments, amateurs play for experience only, no purse for
amateurs. The Aloha Golf Tour reserves the right to reject any
application.

Possible
value add-ons for our members only through additional sponsors and
partners.
Practice Rounds :
Practice rounds will be available at all tournament sites, times and
days may vary. Players are responsible for practice rounds including
reserving tee times and any fees that may apply.
Pairings :
Pairings will be a random draw for the first two events for each
series. All pairings for the remainder of the year will be based on
the Official Money List.
Official Tournament :
36 holes must be completed for an event to stand as a completed
tournament; we will not play beyond the final scheduled day of the
event. In the event an event cannot be completed due to weather the
purse will be distributed evenly throughout the remainder of the
events with a minimum of three events, If less than three events,
the purse will be distributed
evenly to the players. All tournaments will be cut after 36 holes to
36% of the field plus ties. If an event is cancelled for any reason,
any refunded green fees and cart fees from that
event will be refunded at the
end of the series.
United States Golf Association Rules govern all play. Local
rules may apply.
Amateur Policy:
All amateurs participating in a Aloha Golf Tour event must have a
U.S.G.A. handicap index of 3 or less.
NON-MEMBERS
Aloha Golf Tour Non-Members:
Non-members are professional & amateur golfers who are not
committed to the entire tour season, pay as you play. Non-member
professional entry fee per event is $450 and amateur entry
fee is $200 per event based on space availability. The Aloha Golf Tour reserves the right to reject any
application.
CONDUCT
Conduct Policy:
The Aloha Golf Tour will maintain a
strict no tolerance policy on any behavior unbecoming a professional
which includes but not limited to vulgar language, club throwing,
damage to the golf course or golf course property. The Aloha Golf
Tour will not tolerate any use of illegal drugs or abuse of any
prescription drugs. Any violation of the drug use policy will result
in an automatic dismissal from the Aloha Golf Tour. The Aloha Golf
Tour will not allow any alcohol or gambling at any tournament site
during a stipulated round. Following completion of the stipulated
round, consumption of alcohol should be limited to the clubhouse
lounge and locker room areas only. First offense for violation of
this policy is a $500.00 fine plus a two-stroke penalty, second
offense is a $1,000.00 fine plus
a two-stroke penalty and third
offense is automatic dismissal from the Aloha Golf Tour without
refund, no exceptions. All fines must be paid in full before the
start of the next scheduled event. All fines are cumulative for the
entire Aloha Golf Tour season. Failure to comply with these rules
will result in the forfeiture of all following events until fine is
paid in full. Any fines collected by the Aloha Golf Tour will be
donated to our charities. Any disputes will go before the
tournament committee in which
the decision of the tournament committee shall be final.
APPEALS
Any appeal of a penalty and
fine must be referred to the on-site Tournament Director immediately
upon completion of the player in question’s round. The Tournament
Director’s decision shall be final. If the player in question does
not appeal immediately upon conclusion of his round, any penalties
and fines shall stand.
Attire: Slacks or
Bermuda length shorts are permitted. No denim is permitted. All
shirts must reflect appropriate attire, and must be tucked in at all
times. All caddies must abide by the same regulations as the
players. Players are responsible for their caddies. The Aloha Golf
Tour is a soft spikes only tour; no metal spikes are permitted.
Cellular Telephones: Use
of cellular telephones is prohibited on golf course for all
tournament rounds. Any breach is subject to a fine up to $1,000.00
and/or a two-stroke penalty. Cell phone use is allowed during
suspense of play in appropriate areas.
Carts and Caddies: All
players are permitted to use golf carts, no pull carts are allowed.
Two carts per group and two people per cart allowed. Caddies may
ride based on availability; players have priority on riding. If at
any time there are more than two people per cart then each
individual in or on the cart will receive a $100.00 fine. All carts
must be kept on the path around tees and greens; failure to do so
will be subject to a $100.00 fine. Please note that when play has
been suspended and the golf course is being evacuated this rule does
not apply.
PACE OF PLAY
Pace of Play: Rule 6-7 states,
in part: The player shall play without undue delay and in accordance
with any pace of play guidelines which may be laid dawn by the
Committee. The following pace of play guidelines, penalties and
fines for stroke play competitions have been adopted.
Definition Of Out Of
Position
The first threesome or foursome
to start will be considered out of position if, at any time during
the round, they exceed the time allotted to play, as detailed on the
applicable courses
Pace of Play Chart. Any
subsequent group will be considered out of position if, at any time
during the round, they (a) exceed the allotted time to play
or
(b) reach a par-3 hole is open and
free of play or reach a par-4 or par-5 hole and have not cleared the
teeing ground before the hole is open and free of play. NOTE: The
Rules official for a specific tournament reserves the right to
time a group when he deems it necessary.
Monitoring Group
When play is in threesomes, the
first group in each segment to start will be informed by a Aloha
Golf Tour Rules Official of monitoring and timing. Any subsequent
group out of position will not be informed of monitoring and timing
unless asked by the player(s). When play is in twosomes, all groups
will be informed by a Aloha Golf Tour Rules Official of monitoring.
Timing
At the discretion of the Rules
Official, once a group is determined to be out of position, players
in the group may be timed. Other than on the putting green, the
timing of a player’s stroke will begin when it is his turn to play
and he can play without interference or distraction. Time spent
determining yardages will count as time taken for the next stroke.
On the putting green, timing will begin after a player has been
allowed a reasonable amount of time to mark, lift, clean, and
replace his ball, repair his ball mark and other ball marks on his
line of putt and remove loose impediments on his line of putt. NOTE:
A player is permitted 40 seconds to play a stroke, and an extra 20
seconds (for a
total of 60 seconds) will be
allowed for:
(a) the first player to play a
stroke on a par-3 hole;
(b) the first player to play a
second stroke on a par-4 or par-5 hole;
(c) the first player to play a
third stroke on a par-5 hole;
(d) the first player to play
around the putting green; and
(e) the first player to play on
the putting green
Any player in a group being
timed, who exceeds the applicable time to play a stroke, will be
informed as soon as practicable.
Penalties During Round
First Offense: One timing
exceeding the applicable time to play a stroke, no penalty
Second Offense: One more timing
(total of two) exceeding the applicable time to play a stroke, a one
(1) stroke penalty and a fine of $250.00.
Third Offense: One more timing
(total of three) exceeding the applicable time to play a stroke, a
two (2) stroke penalty and a fine of $500.00.
Fourth Offense: One more timing
(total of four) exceeding the applicable time to play a stroke,
disqualification from the event.
NOTE: Any timing exceeding the
applicable time to play will be carried over throughout the round.
In the administration of these pace of play guidelines, a member of
the Rules Committee shall not tolerate abuse, oral or otherwise, by
a player. Such abuse may constitute conduct unbecoming a
professional and possible termination from the Tour without refund.
REFUND POLICY
Refund Policy: If a
player is unable to participate due to medical reasons (subject to
review by a Aloha Golf Tour doctor), causing the field to be
reduced, the purse will also be reduced. The Aloha Golf Tour
Director must be
notified at least 24 hours in advance
in order for a medical refund to be
considered. If a player decides to leave the Aloha Golf Tour, the
tour has the right to hold the refund until a replacement has been
found. Any refund is subject to a 20% administrative charge. Any
reduction in the field will cause a reduction in the purse. A player
has the right to sell his spot as well.

Sample Refund Formula: 85% of
$18,500.00 = $15,725.00 divided by the number of
play days in a series
(including the Tour Championship) minus a 20% administration
charge.
The Aloha Golf Tour is not
responsible for items stolen, lost or damaged at any practice
facility, host or secondary golf courses.
TOUR
RULES
Play is governed by the
current year USGA Rules of Golf as supplemental by the following
Standing Local Rules, the Decisions on the Rules of Golf and
Definitions and Conditions of the Competitions. References to
Appendix I refer to the wording in Appendix I, “Local Rules:
Condition of the Competition” in the USGA Rules of Golf. Local Rules
printed or posted elsewhere are not in effect. Unless otherwise
specified, penalty for breech of a Local Rule or condition is:
Stroke Play – Two Strokes, Match Play – Loss of Hole. The following
Sanding Local Rules and Conditions are in effect for all
competitions unless specifically modified by a Local Rule or
condition for the particular competition and course.
Players
Responsibilities
-
Rules and Conditions: It is each
player’s responsibility to inform a fellow competitor immediately
if in the player’s opinion, the fellow competitor has violated a
rule or condition of the competition. If there is a disagreement
that cannot be resolved, the matter should be reported to the
Committee.

Doubt as to Procedure: If a player
is doubtful of his rights or procedure and there is no Rules
Official immediately available, in stroke play only, he may play a
second ball in accordance with rule 3-3.

Time of Starting: It is the
player’s responsibility to know hi starting time and to be on the
tee and ready to play at the starting time, regardless of the
order of play. The Committee may waive the penalty of
disqualification if circumstances warrant. Otherwise, it is a
condition that a player who is ready to play within five minutes
after his time is penalized two strokes in stroke play (Ref:
Appendix I). We advise all players to check in at a minimum of 30
minutes prior to their starting time.

Pace of Play: The timing of a
player’s stroke will begin when it is his turn to play, and he can
play without interference or distraction. Time spent pre-analyzing
the current shot to determine yardage, wind, grain, slope, lie,
etc. will count as part of the time taken for the next stroke. On
the putting green, timing will begin after a player has been
allowed a reasonable amount of time to lift, clean and replace his
ball, repair his ball mark and other ball marks on his line from
beyond the hole and/or behind the ball will count as part of the
time taken for the next stroke.

Undue Delay: (Rule 6-7) Walking or
driving ahead of the ball which is closest to the green in order
to survey conditions can be considered undue delay, unless in
search of a lost ball belonging to a member of the group. Stopping
for refreshments when the next hole is open can also be considered
undue delay.

Conduct: The behavior of
professional or amateur contestants competing in the Aloha Golf
Tour shall be carefully observed by the Tour Committee. Any
conduct which shows disrespect for the tournament staff, the golf
course on which the tournament is played, the USGA rules of golf,
or fellow competitors shall constitute grounds for disciplinary
action which may result in dismissal from the tour without a
refund. This notice will serve as you final warning.

Carts and Riders: Each player may
have use of a golf cart. Each player’s clubs may be carried on a
cart. During the course of play, Only PLAYERS & CADDIES may ride
in the carts. Players are allowed to walk with a caddie, but must
maintain pace of play with the field. A maximum of two carts per
group. No pull carts will be allowed. Failure to comply after a
warning will result in disqualification of the player.

Practice Between Holes: is
prohibited. (Ref: Appendix I sect. 5b)

Danger from Lighting: A player has
the right to discontinue play if he believes there is danger from
lighting, even if the Committee has not suspended play. If, after
careful consideration the Committee has determined that it is safe
to play and the player refuses to resume play within a reasonable
time, The Player Will Be Disqualified. This will also apply when
play is resumed after a Committee sanctioned suspension.

Scorecards: must be signed by both
the marker and the player and turned into the designated scoring
area immediately following completion of the round. Once a player
has turned in his scorecard and stepped outside the boundary of
the scoring area, the card is official.

Stat cards: players who want to
keep track of their stats (optional) shall fill out their own stat
cards and turn them in at the scoring area within one hour after
completion of their current round. The Tour will provide each
player a stat card, scorecard, pin placement sheet and other
tournament information before the start of each round.

List of Conforming Golf Balls: Only
brands of golf ball on the USGA’s latest list of conforming golf
balls maybe used. Penalty for use of brand not on list:
Disqualification.
-
One Ball Rule: A player is limited
to golf balls with identical markings (except for player
identification numbers) during a stipulated round.
-
Lifting an Embedded Ball: Lifting
an embedded ball is permitted.
-
White Stakes: white painted stakes,
lines and perimeter fences define out of bounds, with the inside
edge of the stakes, lines or fence posts at ground level defining
the margin.
-
Objects Defining Out of Bounds: are
not obstructions.
-
Roads: except those crossing a
hole, are out of bounds with the margin defined by the inside
edge.
-
A Ball Crossing a Boundary: of the
hole being played and coming to rest on another part of the course
is out of bounds.
-
A Ball Crossing a Perimeter Water
Hazard: and coming to rest above the water’s edge that is
deemed private property is out of bounds.
-
Water Hazards: are designated by
yellow stakes, dots or lines (painted lines take precedence).
-
Lateral Water Hazards: are
designated by red stakes, dots, or lines (painted lines take
precedence).
-
Hazard Margins: are defined by
lines or stakes, if they exist, or the contour of the hazard where
the ground breaks down to form the hazard, if they do not.
-
There are no ball drop or waste areas:
unless posted on the notice to competitors.
-
Ground Under Repair: Areas
encircled by white lines: French drains (exposed trenches filled
with rocks or stones); Aerification holes only when posted on the
notice to competitors.
-
Newly Trenched Areas and Sod Seams:
are ground under repair for lie of ball only.
-
Obstructions: Artificially Surfaced
Paths: including asphalt and rock surfaces, are obstructions. Dirt
and sand roads and paths are not unless otherwise posted.
-
White Lines Tied to Obstructions:
indicate areas that are to be considered part of the obstruction.
-
Bushes Surrounding Irrigation Boxes:
are considered part of the obstruction.
-
Stakes, Ropes and Wires: supporting
trees are immovable obstructions. The trees are not.
-
Tree Wrappings, electrical wires and
cables: closely attached to trees are integral parts of the
course, not obstructions.
-
Bulkheads and Retaining Walls: All
bulkheads and retaining walls are obstructions. Where bulkheads
and retaining walls exist along the edge of water hazards, the
margin of the hazard is defined by the waters edge of the wall.
-
Course in Play Policy: Before the
cut, riding a cart or walking on the course not yet played before
all play has been completed will result in a $200 fine and/or
disqualification of the player.
-
Marking Position of Lifted Ball: A
small coin or similar object should be used to mark the ball.
-
Dangerous Situation: i.e. fire
ants, bee hives, etc.
-
Suspension of Play: for other than
a dangerous situation will be signaled by an audible sound device.
Players may complete a hole in progress in accordance with Rule
6-8b.
-
Suspension of Play for a Dangerous
Situation: will be signaled by an audible device. All players
must immediately discontinue play and not play another stroke
until the Committee has ordered resumption of play. If a player
plays a stroke after being aware that play has been suspended for
a dangerous situation, he shall be disqualified. The golf course
will be closed to all players and their caddies during a
suspension for a dangerous situation until the Committee has
declared them open. Any Aloha Golf Tour player using such practice
areas will also be disqualified.

Resumption of Play: will be
signaled by an audible device.
-
Completion of Rounds: Every effort
will be made to complete all rounds of competition. However, the
Committee may shorten a competition if necessary due to suspended
or canceled rounds.
-
Completed Tournaments: After
completion of 36 holes, only the totally completed rounds (all
players) played within a four-day period will constitute the
event. Under no circumstance will we go beyond the four-day
period.
-
Play-Off: A tie for first
place shall be decided by a hole-by-hole play-off, immediately
following completion of regular play, unless modified by the
Committee.
-
Results of Competitions: When all
scores have been approved by the Committee and posted, the results
of the competition shall be deemed to have been closed.
-
Environmentally Sensitive Areas:
When the Committee is required to prohibit play from
environmentally sensitive areas which are on or adjoining the
course, a local rule will be posted.

Spike less Golf Courses: The Aloha
Golf Tour is a spike less tour including caddies. Penalty is
disqualification.
-
Cell
Phones:
Use of cellular/mobile phone, personal organizers or computing
devices is prohibited on the course during competition by players
and caddies. Any breech is subject to a fine up to $1,000 and/or a
two stroke penalty.
